Instructions for preparing oral presentations

The authors are kindly requested to follow the guidelines for fulltext paper submission. Please send your fulltext paper submissions to issset@itu.edu.tr Submissions forwarded by e-mail, fax, post or courier will not be accepted.

Full text will be accepted only in MS Word (xp or higher version) file. Full text in PowerPoint file will not be accepted. The deadline for the full text submission is April 15, 2015.

All submitted fulltext papers will be reviewed for scientific/technical merit and checked for compliance with the posted instructions. Submissions which do not comply with these instructions will be returned to the authors for amendment.

All accepted fulltext papers (oral and poster presentations) will be published in the Symposium Proceeding Book. The official language of the Symposium is English. The oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes (except for plenary lectures, which are limited to 30 minutes). At the end of each presentation, 5 minutes are foreseen for discussions.

For oral presentations, the following equipment will be at your disposal: LCD projector, Laptop computer with CD ROM, laser pointer, overhead projector. The organizer will provide computers with MS Windows for oral presentations. Presenters are kindly asked to have their presentations saved on CD or USB memory device.

Instructions for preparing poster presentations

Prepare Research poster abstracts to include the following key elements:

Purpose — What was the intent or goal of the study? What did you want to learn?

Background/Significance — What was the problem and why was it important? What knowledge are you building on?

Method — What was the design? What was the sample? What instruments were used? How was data collected and analyzed?

Results — What were the findings?

Conclusions — What do the findings mean?

The poster size should be 90 cm x 120 cm (A0 size)
